Richard Branson congratulates Vladas Lašas, 2012 Business for Peace awardee

While covering the 2012 Business for Peace summit in Oslo this week, we came across a unique opportunity. One of the awardees, Vladas Lašas from Lithuania, asked if we would be willing to film a discussion he wanted to have with Sir Richard Branson (Branson was in town for a meeting of The Elders). Obviously, we agreed and waited anxiously to see if 20 minutes could be found in Sir Richard’s busy schedule.

Our full interview with Vladas Lašas, one of the founders of UPS in Lithuania along with countless other businesses, will be posted in the coming days.

Here is the result – Sir Richard congratulating Vladas Lašas and the two discussing various issues related to the new business paradigm, leadership, entrepreneurship and a but more.

Our excellent cameraman, Alex Asensi, was also invited into the private dining room (by Branson) to film President Jimmy Carter congratulating Lašas on receiving the prize. We’ll have that clip up in the next few days!
